AI Consulting

Bring your questions, leave with a plan

Two ways to start. A free discovery call, which is exactly what it sounds like. Or a paid hour with the person who would build your system, which is where anything useful actually happens.

Most people take the free call first. Some already know what they want to solve and would rather skip to the working session. Both are fine.

Why we charge for it

Because the hour is worth something

Plenty of firms give away a "strategy session." It exists to sell you a retainer, and you can feel it about eleven minutes in. We charge for the hour and give you something you can use whether or not you ever hire us.

The price also filters. People who pay for an hour show up with a real problem, real constraints, and the authority to do something about it, so we skip the qualifying questions and get into your actual situation before the coffee is cold.

Sometimes we get an hour in and the answer is that AI is not your bottleneck. Your process is broken, or your data is a mess, and no model fixes either one. We will say so. Learning that for $500 beats learning it for $50,000.

Who gets the most out of it

  • Owners and executives who have to make a decision this quarter
  • Companies weighing a local AI machine against another year of subscriptions
  • Teams that have already tried an AI pilot and cannot tell if it worked
  • Anyone who has been handed a quote by an AI vendor and wants a second read on it
  • Firms with confidential material that cannot go to a public AI service
What you get

What an hour actually covers

We come prepared. Send us your questions ahead of time and we will do the reading before the clock starts.

Where AI fits, and where it does not

A run through your operations to find the jobs worth attacking first, ranked by what they cost you now and how hard they are to change. Including the ones we would tell you to leave alone.

The architecture call

Local, cloud, or hybrid for your situation, and the honest cost comparison. What a private machine would run you against what your subscriptions cost over the same period.

Data and risk

What information you have, where it lives, what condition it is in, and which parts should never leave your network. Most AI projects fail here, not at the model.

A second opinion on a quote

If you have a proposal from another vendor, bring it. We will tell you what is fairly priced, what is missing, and what questions to ask before you sign.

What to do in house

Plenty of this you can do yourself with the right guidance. We will point out what your own people can handle and where an outside build is worth paying for.

A written summary

After the session you get the notes: what we covered, what we recommended, what it would cost, and the order to do it in. Yours to use however you want.

Proof

Almost nobody is actually using this yet

Adoption numbers look high because everyone bought a chat subscription. Very few companies have AI touching the work that makes them money. Chuck covers that gap on his channel.

Why almost nobody is using AI properlyFrom Chuck the Contractor. The window where this is still an advantage is open now and will not stay that way.
The other option

The free discovery call

Twenty minutes, no charge, no obligation. It exists so both of us can find out whether there is anything here before anybody spends money.

We ask what your business does, what is slow, what you have already tried, and what data keeps you up at night. You get a straight read on whether we can help, roughly what it would cost, and what we would do first.

Sometimes the answer is no. Some problems belong to your IT provider, some belong to a software vendor you already pay, and some do not need solving at all. We will say that on the call rather than sell you a project.

Book the free call

Beyond the hour

When an hour is not enough, the next step is a paid assessment: interviews with your team, a workflow inventory, a data and risk review, and a written plan with costs and a build order. It is a real deliverable, priced as a fixed project, and credited toward the build if you go ahead.

After that comes the build, and after that an ongoing support agreement if you want one. We will lay out all of it before you commit to any of it.

Practical details

How the paid consult runs

How do I book and pay?

Send the form below with a couple of times that work. We confirm the slot, send an invoice, and you pay before the session. One hour or two, your call.

Remote or in person?

Either. Video call works fine for most sessions. If you are in Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, Hayden, Spokane, or nearby and it would help to have us walk the floor, we will come to you.

Who will I be talking to?

The people who would build the system. Not a salesperson, not a junior consultant reading from a framework.

Is it confidential?

Yes. We will sign your NDA if you have one. If you do not, we will treat what you tell us as confidential anyway.

What if we decide to hire you?

The consult fee is credited toward a build that starts within 90 days. You are not paying twice for the same thinking.
